Relief Distribution and Financial Help by Jamuna Bank Foundation in Munshiganj and Shariatpur
Under the financing and initiative taken by Jamuna Bank Foundation 3,000 families who are severely affected by Padma river erosion and Covid-19 are being distributed 3000 bags of food Items at Tongibari, Louhojong Thana, Munshiganj district, Munshiganj Sadar and Naria Upazila of Shariatpur. Former MP of Munshiganj and The Chairman of Jamuna Bank Foundation Al-Haj Nur Mohammed inaugurated the program. The program was presided over by the Managing Director and CEO of Jamuna Bank Mirza Elias Uddin Ahmed. Directors of the Bank Kanutosh Majumder and Md. Ismail Hossain Siraji were present as special guests. The Deputy Managing Directors of the Bank Md. Abdus Salam, Mohammed Fazlur Rahman Chowdhury, Noor Mohammed and the heads of the adjoining branches and senior officials of the head office were also present in the program. Jamuna Bank Foundation has already distributed relief and cash of Two Crore Ten Lac Taka through the District Commissioners of 21 districts in the country.

With the initiative and finance by Jamuna Bank Foundation, relief has been distributed among the people affected by flood and river-erosion at Jorgas Bazar,Chilmari Bondor, Kurigram District. A total of 2500 Relief-packages, which is worth of more than Taka 17 lacs, were distributed among Flood afflicted families. Each package includes Rice, Dal, Salt, Oil, Cheera, Candles, Match-box, Water-purifier, Orsaline. The Chairman of Jamuna Bank Foundation Al-Haj Nur Mohammed distributed the Relief. Mirza Elias Uddin Ahmed, Additional Managing Director of the Bank & CEO of the Jamuna Bank Foundation, was also present on relief distribution.

A total of 3000 Relief-packages, which is worth of more than Taka 17 lacs, were distributed among 3000 afflicted families. Each package includes Rice, Dal, Salt, Oil, Cheera, Candles, Match-box, Water-purifier, Orsaline. Al-Haj Nur Mohammed, Chairman, Executive Committee, Jamuna Bank Limited and Chairman, Jamuna Bank Foundation distributed the Relief. Md. Sirajul Islam Varosha, Director, Jamuna Bank, Shafiqul Alam, Managing Director & CEO and Mirza Elias Uddin Ahmed, Deputy Managing Director of Jamuna Bank Limited, were also present on relief distribution.

A total of 2000 Relief-packages, which is worth of more than Taka 12 lacs, were distributed among 2000 afflicted families. Each package includes Rice, Dal, Salt, Oil, Cheera, Candles, Match-box, Water-purifier, Orsaline. The Chairman of Jamuna Bank Foundation Al-Haj Nur Mohammed distributed the Relief. Mirza Elias Uddin Ahmed, Deputy Managing Director of Jamuna Bank Limited, was also present on relief distribution.
Jamuna Bank Foundation distributed Relief in Jamalpur
With the initiative and finance of Jamuna Bank Foundation 2000 bags Relief were distributed among the 2000 flood affected and river erosion-prone family at Boliadah High School Field and Kulkandi Samshunnahar High School Field under Islampur Thana of Jamalpur district. The Relieves are Rice, Lintel, Potato, Salt, Oresaline, Water purified Tablet and Fire-box. The Chairman of Jamuna Bank Foundation Al-Haj Nur Mohammed distributed the Relief. Mirza Elias Uddin Ahmed, Deputy Managing Director of Jamuna Bank Limited, District Magistrate Md. Ziaul Hoque Mir and Acting Executive Magistriate Md. Tazim-Ur- Rahman were also present on the occasion. The Jamalpur District Administration and Islampur Upzila Administration assisted to distribute the Relief.
Aid After Natural Disaster
Jamuna Bank Foundation always feels sympathy for the disaster-hit people. Each year the bank foundation donates a remarkable amount to the government fund for the disaster-affected people. By the initiative of the bank foundation, the executives provides relief and other assistance during various natural disasters and volatility in the country. After the terrible Aila-hit southern belt of the country in 2009, the bank contributed 5 million BDT to Prime Minister Relief Fund as well as 2.5 million BDT to Bangladesh Army Relief Fund. Moreover, all employees sacrifices one day salary for the relief fund.
